The Florida Panthers are about to begin their 34th season. Throughout their history, the franchise has had the pleasure of being home to some of the game’s most gifted goal scorers, including Hockey Hall of Famer Pavel Bure. However, only 35 players have recorded a hat trick with the club, with the list dwindling down to 13 to achieve the feat more than once. Moreover, the list shrinks to just eight players when you look at those who have collected three or more.
Florida Panthers players with the most hat tricks in franchise history
Carter Verhaeghe (3)
Carter Verhaeghe debuted with the Tampa Bay Lightning and won the Stanley Cup in 2020. A year later, he joined the Panthers and became a key player in the franchise’s 2024 and 2025 title wins. Over the past six seasons, Verhaeghe has scored 163 goals with Florida, including three hat tricks on March 27, 2021, February 2, 2025, and one four-goal game on April 1, 2023.
Sam Reinhart (3)

In 12 seasons, Sam Reinhart has registered eight hat tricks, four with the Buffalo Sabres and now four with the Panthers. Moreover, since his blockbuster trade in 2021, he’s on the cusp of becoming the first player in franchise history with five 30-goal seasons. Reinhart’s Florida hat tricks came on January 31, 2022, March 10, 2022, and January 6, 2024. Meanwhile, on June 17, 2025, he became one of six players to score four goals in a Stanley Cup Final game.
Noel Acciari (3)
Initially undrafted, Noel Acciari has played 11 NHL seasons. The one-time 20-goal scorer had his best statistical campaigns with the Panthers from 2019 to 2022. During his time in Florida, he recorded all three of his career hat tricks on December 16, 2019, December 20 2019, and March 6, 2021. As of 2026, Acciari remains the only player to record hat tricks in back-to-back games in Panthers history.
Matthew Tkachuk (4)
Matthew Tkachuk is the latest Panthers player to record four hat tricks with the club, achieving the milestone on March 6, 2026. Before relocating to Florida via a trade from the Calgary Flames, the two-time 100-point player had three hat tricks. In the past four seasons, he’s picked up another four on January 3, 2023, March 30, 2023, January 9, 2024, and his most recent one in March.
Aleksander Barkov (4)
Aleksander Barkov is the only player on the list to spend his entire career with the Panthers and is arguably their greatest player. Besides being the team’s all-time leading scorer with 782 points, the longtime captain has picked up four hat tricks in 12 seasons, including one on December 15, 2018, February 17, 2019, April 19, 2022, and December 29, 2022.
Olli Jokinen (4)

Finnish star Olli Jokinen played 17 seasons in the NHL, with his best statistical years coming with the Panthers from 2000 to 2008. Although he spent more time in other cities, he is considered one of the greatest Florida players of all time and still ranks among the best in every statistical category. Jokinen recorded his first career hat trick on November 25, 2005, and then added three more on November 16, 2006, January 10, 2007, and February 27, 2007.
Ray Sheppard (5)
Ray Sheppard played 13 years in the NHL, dressing for four teams including Buffalo, Detroit, New York (Rangers), and San Jose before coming to the Panthers in 1995. He was on the Florida team that advanced to the Stanley Cup Final in 1996 and became the second player to ever record a hat trick for the new expansion team. Moreover, until Bure came along and shattered his record, Sheppard was the only Panthers player with five hat tricks, achieved on March 21, 1996, November 26, 1996, December 22, 1996, March 13, 1997, and November 26, 1997.
Pavel Bure (10)
The Russian Rocket collected 21 hat tricks over his Hall of Fame career, including 10 with the Vancouver Canucks, 10 with the Panthers, and one with the Rangers. As Florida's greatest pure goal scorer, he set his almost unbreakable hat trick record in just three and a half seasons. On top of holding this record, Bure continues to hold the single-season goal-scoring record, scoring 58 in 1999-2000 and then 59 in 2000-01.
As of 2026, he remains the only Panthers player with multiple four-goal games on his resume: January 1, 2000, and February 10, 2001. Meanwhile, Bure recorded hat tricks on January 26, 1999, March 3, 1999, December 8, 1999, December 17, 1999, March 18, 2000, February 14, 2001, March 11, 2001, and March 17, 2001.
