Only two players in Florida Panthers history have scored more than 100 points in a single season: Jonathan Huberdeau in 2021-22 and Matthew Tkachuk in 2022-23. Despite having several Hall of Famers in the lineup, like Pavel Bure, Joe Nieuwendyk, and Joe Thornton, never mind the legendary Jaromir Jagr, none of them ever reached triple digits during their tenures with the club. However, for a long time, Bure held the single-season record he set in 1999-2000, and it was only surpassed in 2018-19 by captain Aleksander Barkov, who still couldn't even find an extra four points to become the first Panthers player with 100 points.
Today, we look back at the greatest single-season performances by a Florida player since their inception in 1993.

8. Olli Jokinen - 91 points (2006-07)
Argued to be one of the top Finnish players to ever play with the Panthers, Olli Jokinen never scored more than 80 points in a season with any other club during his 17-year NHL career, except twice with the Panthers in 2005-06 and 2006-07. In 2006-07, he led the team in scoring with 39 goals and 52 assists.
7. Jonathan Huberdeau - 92 points (2018-19)
As the third overall pick from the 2011 NHL Draft, Huberdeau gave fans a glimpse of things to come with a brilliant performance in 2018-19, scoring 30 goals and adding 62 assists for 92 points. Interestingly, despite finishing second in team scoring, he was minus-14, the fifth-worst total on that season’s team.
6. Pavel Bure - 92 points (2001-01)
Bure had the most productive career in Panthers history, scoring 251 points in just 223 games, including 152 goals. One year after setting the franchise record with 94 points, he followed that campaign up with 92 in 2000-01, including a Florida record of 59 goals, a total unmatched almost three decades later.
5. Sam Reinhart - 94 points (2023-24)
Sam Reinhart had a season to remember in 2023-24 en route to his first Stanley Cup title in June. As the second overall pick from the 2014 Draft, he took almost a full decade to reach his potential, scoring a career-high 57 goals and 94 points.
4. Pavel Bure - 94 points (1999-2000)
After a mediocre debut with Florida in 1998-99, with just 13 goals in 11 games, Bure returned as The Russian Rocket, setting a then-franchise record with 58 goals and 94 points in only 74 games. Not only did he rewrite the team’s record book, but he led the NHL with 45 even-strength goals and an eye-popping 14 game winners.
3. Aleksander Barkov - 96 points (2018-19)
Out of every player to ever wear a Panthers sweater, there will never be another Barkov, the greatest player in franchise history. It was only fitting in 2018-19 that Florida’s longest-serving captain would break Bure’s points record, with a 96-point campaign thanks to 35 goals and 61 assists. Despite all his accomplishments, it marks the only time the defensive-minded forward surpassed 90 points in his career.
2. Matthew Tkachuk - 109 points (2022-23)
Months before a blockbuster trade to the Panthers in July 2022, Matthew Tkachuk set career highs with 42 goals and 104 points with the Calgary Flames. After relocating to Florida, he erupted for 40 goals and 69 assists for 109 points in 2022-23, his best single-season point total and second most ever accumulated by a Panthers player.
1. Jonathan Huberdeau - 115 points (2021-22)
Believe it or not, Huberdeau’s 115-point season in 2021-22 may be a record that stands for a significant period of time. Considering only one other player surpassed 100 points in team history, Huberdeau’s 30 goals and 85-assist campaign will remain the team’s high mark for the foreseeable future. Even if someone breaks the record someday, they will be hard-pressed to match his 85-assist total, the 51st-highest total ever recorded by a player in a single season in NHL history.
