The Florida Panthers have existed for 33 seasons, and according to NHL.com statistics, 444 players and 41 goalies have skated in at least one game with the club.
Through the end of the 2025-26 season, multiple players have worn every jersey number from No. 1 to No. 48, with No. 49 becoming the lowest number in circulation, worn only once.
Meanwhile, no one in Panthers history has yet to wear No. 59, 66, 69, 80, 84, 87, 89, and of course No.99 since it was retired league-wide when Wayne Gretzky retired in April 1999. Currently, Florida has retired the Nos. 1, 37, and 93.
Heading into next season, players have worn 13 different jersey numbers only once, and today, we will look at those unique numbers.
#49 - Lance Ward (2001 - 2003)
Initially drafted by the New Jersey Devils in 1996, Lance Ward re-entered the 1998 Draft, and the Panthers selected him in the third round at 63rd overall. He played parts of three seasons with the club, collecting 11 points in 134 games, alternating between No. 47 and 49.
#64 - Stefan Meyer (2008)
As a second-round draft pick, 55th overall, in 2003, Stefan Meyer remains the only player in Panthers history to wear No. 64, skating in four games with the sweater during the 2007-08 season.
#75 - Scott Timmins (2011 - 2013)

Scott Timmins played 24 games with the Panthers in 2010-11 and 2012-13 after the club drafted him 165th overall in the 2009 Draft. He scored a single goal and had 12 penalty minutes in his brief stint in the league.
#78 - Maxim Mamin (2018 - 2022)
Maxim Mamin appears twice on this list, first with No. 78, the sweater he wore from 2017 to 2019, during which he tallied three goals and four points in 33 games.
#79 - Cole Schwindt (2022 - Present)
Cole Schwindt was the 81st pick in the 2019 Draft and will forever have a place in Panthers history as part of the blockbuster deal that brought Matthew Tkachuk from the Calgary Flames. During his first three-game stint with Florida in 2021-22, he wore No. 79 and regained the sweater upon his return in 2025. Currently, he’s tallied seven points in 32 games.
#81 - Jonathan Marchessault (2017)
Former Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Marchessault wore No. 81 during his one season with the Panthers in 2016-17. At the time, he scored a personal-best 30 goals and 51 points before the Vegas Golden Knights selected him in the 2018 Expansion Draft, where he became a one-time 40-goal scorer.
#83 - Juho Lammikko (2021)

Juho Lammikko was a third-round, 65th overall, pick in the 2014 Draft, who debuted with the Panthers in 2018-19. Over two seasons with the club, he collected 11 points in 84 games before moving on to Vancouver and New Jersey, where he played in 2025-26.
#85 - Rostislav Olesz (2006 - 2011)
As the seventh overall pick from the 2004 Draft, Rostislav Olesz is the longest-tenured Panthers player on the list, wearing sweater No. 85 for six seasons. During his time in Florida, he scored 57 goals and 132 points in 349 games.
#86 - Connor Brickley (2016)
The Panthers drafted Connor Brickley as the 50th overall pick in the 2010 Draft. He’d make his NHL debut in 2015-16, wearing No. 86 for 23 games, scoring a goal and five points. Upon his next call-up in 2017-18, he switched to No. 23 and scored 12 points in 44 games.
#90 - Jared McCann (2017 - 2019)

Long before multi-time 20-goal scorer Jared McCann found his groove in Seattle, he wore No. 90 for parts of three seasons with the Panthers. In 143 games, he scored 18 goals and totaled 53 points.
#94 - Ryan Lomberg (2021 - 2024)
Fan favorite and Stanley Cup winner Ryan Lomberg wore No. 94 during his stint with the Panthers, which began in 2020 and ended with a championship parade in 2024. In 246 games, he scored 28 goals, totaled 49 points, and racked up 327 penalty minutes.
#96 - Mikulas Hovorka (2006)
Surprisingly, no one had ever worn No. 96 with the Panthers, including Hall of Famer Pavel Bure, who wore those digits with the Vancouver Canucks. However, undrafted defenseman Mikulas Hovorka became the first to do so during the 2025-26 season, skating in four games and picking up an assist.
#98 - Maxim Mamin (2022)

As mentioned, Mamin finds his name on the list again, this time regarding sweater No. 98, the one he wore for 40 games during the 2021-22 season. That year, he scored seven goals and 14 points, bringing his NHL totals to 10 goals and 18 points in 73 games.
