EA Sports released the rest of their top players for the upcoming NHL 27 game, coming out on September 11. Ahead of the launch, 15 Florida Panthers found themselves ranked among the Top 300, expanding the list of nine forwards already announced earlier in the week. Are this year’s ratings fair, just right, or did EA Sports rate a few of these players lower than expected?

Which Panthers rank above 90 in NHL 27?

As expected, captain Aleksander Barkov finds himself as the top-rated Panthers player, earning a 95 overall, despite missing the entire 2025-26 season due to injury. He’s joined in the 90 Club by former 57-goal scorer Sam Reinhart, who earned a 91 rating, followed by Matthew Tkachuk at 90. Regarding their places in the Top 300, Barkov ranked 11th, while Reinhart came in at 32nd, with Tkachuk sliding into 41st overall, the only Florida players in the Top 50.

Matthew’s rating should ignite a sibling rivalry with his brother Brady, who just came to town after a trade from the Ottawa Senators in June. He’s next on the list with an 89 rating, tied with Brad Marchand, who recently announced he’d miss the start of the season because of surgery. They ranked 66th and 70th, respectively, and were joined by defenseman Gustav Forsling, who earned an 88 rating. His 77th ranking is the last Panthers player to place in the Top 100.

Where the rest of the Florida skaters rank

Former Conn Smythe Trophy winner Sam Bennett earned an 86 rating (138th overall), tied with several players including defender Seth Jones (155th), forward Anton Lundell (166th), and long-time defenseman Aaron Ekblad (170th). Meanwhile, the only other Florida skater to crack the Top 200 is Carter Vergaeghe, who found himself at 193rd overall with an 85 rating. However, Niko Mikkola also earned an 85 rating but fell to 224th on the list.

Finally, netminder Jacob Markström found himself with an 84 rating, the same as defender Radko Gudas. They ranked 265th and 283rd overall, and are looking to either maintain or increase those ratings on their second tour of duty with the Panthers. At the end, Eetu Luostarinen, who has the same rating as Markström and Gudas, lands at 299 out of 300. Interestingly, 13 out of the 15 players have an X-factor ability, except Markström and Luostarinen

Right now, no team ratings are available, so it will be fun to see how the Panthers rank overall and whether they are back among the top teams in the Eastern Conference and the NHL. Moreover, with limited cap space heading into 2026-27, Florida would be a fascinating team to play in the franchise mode to see if a user can turn this all-star-caliber lineup into a dynasty.
