According to NHL.com statistics, there have been 3,568 players to skate at least one game against the Florida Panthers in 32 seasons. Unsurprisingly, the franchise’s top nemesis is none other than the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have compiled a 75-67-10-13 record through 165 games. Meanwhile, the reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Carolina Hurricanes, are vying for the top spot themselves, with a 75-50-11-11 record in 147 contests.
However, the player with the most points against the Panthers isn’t from the Lightning or the Hurricanes, despite four of the top 10 having strong ties to both organizations. Interestingly, of the top 10, only three are active skaters, three are already in the Hall of Fame, and several more are on their way.
Today, we discuss the top 10 players with the most points against the Panthers.
10. Daniel Alfredsson (61 points)
63GP - 29G - 32A - 61PTS
Daniel Alfredsson spent 17 seasons with the Ottawa Senators, playing one with the Detroit Red Wings. During his Hall of Fame career, he tallied 61 points against the Panthers, which ranks as the eighth most against any opponent in his career. Alfredsson’s first career goal came against Florida and goalie Mark Fitzpatrick on Oct. 13, 1995.
9. Rod Brind’Amour (63 points)
84GP - 28G - 35A - 63PTS

Rod Brind’Amour may not be in the Hall of Fame, but he’s one of the few people to captain a team to a Stanley Cup win and do it again as their coach, achieving the feat with the Hurricanes in 2006 and 2026. During his 20 NHL seasons with the St. Louis Blues, Philadelphia Flyers, and Hurricanes, he racked up 63 points against the Panthers, the sixth most points against an opponent in his career.
8. Marián Hossa (64 points)
57GP - 32G - 32A - 64PTS
Marián Hossa became a three-time Stanley Cup winner on his way to the Hall of Fame, who registered his first career hat trick against the Panthers on Nov. 18, 2000, in a 5-2 victory. As a member of the Atlanta Thrashers, he had two penalty shots against Florida, failing to convert on Dec. 17, 2005, but scoring on his second attempt on Oct. 21, 2006. In 19 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Thrashers, Red Wings, and Senators, Hossa had 64 points against the Panthers, the most points he gathered against a single team.

He scored 13 career hat tricks, including one against Florida on Oct. 23, 2006, in a 6-3 win. During his 13 seasons, including stops with the New Jersey Devils, Los Angeles Kings, Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals, and Thrashers, he tallied 68 points against the Panthers, the second-most totals against an opponent.
6. Vincent Lecavalier (72 points)
84GP - 28G - 44A - 72PTS
As the first overall pick of the Lightning in the 1998 NHL Draft, Vincent Lecavalier would play 14 seasons with the club, winning the Stanley Cup in 2004. Throughout his 17 years in the NHL, he also dressed for the Flyers and Kings, collecting 72 points against the Panthers, the third-most against an opponent. Interestingly, Lecavalier had 13 penalty shots in his career, with three coming against Florida, including his last one, which was a goal, on Apr. 8, 2011. He failed to score on his previous attempts on Nov. 22, 2006, and Jan. 21, 2011.
5. Jaromir Jagr (72 points)
62GP - 35G - 37A - 72PTS
Jaromir Jagr is the NHL’s second-highest scorer of all-time, with 1,921 points over 24 seasons. Interestingly, he is the only player on this list who actually dressed for the Panthers, playing three seasons from 2014 to 2016 and scoring 130 points in 181 games. As an opponent, Jagr had 72 points against Florida, including his 11th career hat trick on Jan. 11, 2003, in a 12-2 blowout win.

Considering how long Jagr played in the NHL, his totals against the Panthers only rank 13th overall in his career, since he had at least 100 points against five other teams. Surprisingly, he was awarded only three penalty shots in his career, going 1-for-3, missing his last attempt on Nov. 9, 1996, against Florida.
4. Martin St. Louis (73 points)
76GP - 32G - 41A - 73PTS

He also briefly skated with the Calgary Flames and New York Rangers, scoring 73 points against the Panthers, the fourth-best total against an opponent. St. Louis recorded eight hat tricks, including one on Feb. 4, 2012, against Florida. In addition, he went 0-for-7 on penalty shots, missing his only chance against the Panthers on Jan. 14, 2010.
3. Sidney Crosby (76 points)
56GP - 33G - 43A - 76PTS
Future Hall of Famer Sidney Crosby is one of the most decorated hockey players of his generation, with multiple Stanley Cup titles and a trophy case loaded with the game’s best trophies. As one of the three active skaters on the list, he has 76 points against the Panthers in only 56 games. In 21 seasons, he’s recorded 17 hat tricks, including one on Mar. 19, 2017, against Florida. As of 2026, Crosby’s 76 points rank eighth against any opponent.
2. Steven Stamkos (83 points)
43GP - 43G - 40A - 83PTS
Steven Stamkos is another first overall pick who spent more than a decade with the Lightning, giving him plenty of opportunities to rack up the points, 83 and counting, against the Panthers. Thus far, he’s tallied 16 career hat tricks, including one against Florida on Oct. 10, 2013, in a 7-2 win. Despite going 2-for-6 on penalty shots, Stamkos missed his only chance versus the Panthers on Nov. 14, 2015. Unsurprisingly, Stamkos has collected the most career points against Florida, almost 20 more than he has against the Toronto Maple Leafs (68), second on the list.
1. Alex Ovechkin (92 points)
77GP - 45G - 47A - 92PTS
As the NHL’s greatest goal scorer, Alex Ovechkin, comes in first on the list, thanks to 92 career points against the Panthers. As a long-time rival, he’s tallied the most goals (45) and assists (47) to become the only skater with more than 90 points against the franchise.

After 21 seasons with the Washington Capitals, Ovechkin has 35 career hat tricks, with three coming versus Florida on Feb. 15, 2009, Apr. 6, 2013, and Nov. 26, 2021.
