The Florida Panthers breezed through the second and third rounds of the NHL Playoffs and now they’re four more wins away from winning their first every Stanley Cup in franchise history.

All they have to do is get by the Vegas Golden Knights.

If you want to check out the odds and my best bet for Game 1 on Saturday night, you can find those in my betting preview here.

In this article, I’m going to focus on player props, specifically for the Panthers players. I have two that I’m backing tonight, so feel free to hop on.

NHL prop bets for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final

  • Matt Tkachuk to score a goal +144
  • Sergei Bobrovsky OVER 29.5 saves (-104)

Matt Tkachuk to score a goal +144

The Panthers aren’t in the Stanley Cup Final without Matt Tkachuk. That’s just a fact. Not only is he their leading scorer in the playoffs, but he has scored timely goals in clutch moments time and time again.

He has scored nine goals in 16 playoff games this year, including four in the Panthers 4-0 sweep of the Hurricanes. If Florida is to get off to a 1-0 lead, Tkachuk is going to have to be involved. I like his odds to score tonight at +144.

Sergei Bobrovsky OVER 29.5 saves (-104)

We’re already betting on one key player for the Panthers in Tkachuk, so let’s go ahead and bet on the other pivotal cog that’s been helping this Panthers machine roll through the postseason, Sergei Bobrovsky.

The Panthers are allowing 33.3 shots on goal against them per 60 minutes of play in the postseason and I see no reason why that won’t continue. To cash this bet, we only need Bobrovsky to record 30 saves. Seems like a potential easy winner.
