The Florida Panthers and Buffalo Sabres will soon be battling each other. Although the Panthers are the dominant team, this is a game that they cannot take lightly. Being upset by Buffalo would certainly be deflating, so they must obtain those two points.

During the contest, there are a handful of players that fans should pay very close attention to. This is the case whether you’re discussing the Panthers or Sabres. This may not be the game of the week for hockey fans universally, but it does have some pretty cool aspects to it.

Here are the players to watch out for as these two Atlantic Division foes face off against one another.

Sam Reinhart: Sam Reinhart will be playing against the Sabres for the first time since being traded by them this summer. It should be an emotional night for the 26-year-old, as he began his career there. Yet, he is now a member of the Panthers and he should have himself an excellent contest.

Jeff Skinner: Jeff Skinner may have struggled a lot last season, but he’s regrouping well this campaign. In 22 games, he has eight goals and 15 points. He also just scored twice against the Kraken, so he’s coming into tonight hot.

Brandon Montour: Another former Sabre, Brandon Montour will certainly be worth watching tonight. Although his time with Buffalo was shorter, it’s always a fun experience going up against one of your former clubs. Let’s see how he performs as a result of this fact.

Kyle Okposo: Another veteran coming off of a down season, Kyle Okposo has completely turned things around so far this year. In 22 games, he has six goals and 15 points. He looks like the former top-six forward he once was, so don’t be surprised to see him cause damage.

Sergei Bobrovsky: Sergei Bobrovsky is starting tonight, so naturally, we will all be watching him very closely. He’s been one of top goaltenders all season, and against a team like the Sabres, he should be able to keep it going.
