Aaron Ekblad is the perfect defenseman to add to your roster if you’re looking for talent late in the draft. Although he’s yet to hit the 40 point plateau yet in his young career, the 22-year-old could definitely take a huge jump this season.

The 2014 first overall pick has already been an all-star twice in his young career and has the potential to do so again with the Florida Panthers this season. Ekblad has been a key part of the Panthers roster and will continue to be in the foreseeable future.

He also scored a large number of his points on the power play last season, netting 11 of his 38 while on the man advantage, making his value that much more valuable for an offensive-defenseman.
