On June 15th, 2018, the Florida Panthers unveiled their new 25th anniversary logo for the upcoming 2018-19 campaign.

Heading into their 25th NHL season, the Florida Panthers needed to show off a logo to reflect twenty-five years in Sunrise, Florida. Since its inaugural year, the Panthers have faced ups and downs as an organization, and have even gone through some ownership change.

Despite some of the hurdles they’ve had to face as a franchise, the Panthers are still hanging strong, and have a little rebrand that should get us all excited for the upcoming season. Below, I present to you the newest Florida Panthers 25th anniversary logo:

The logo to your left will go on the Panthers’ away jersey, while the one on the right will feature on their home jersey. On the away patch, Florida decided to slap the state flag in the back, placing the old stick and palm tree logo in the center with the #25.

Same idea for the home patch, minus the state flag. Instead, they opted to go with a red background, symbolizing the color of their home jersey. On the outside border of both logos, you have ‘Florida Panthers hockey club’ surrounded on the circular part, touching it off with ‘established’ on the left, and ‘1993’ on the right.

The new anniversary logo truly exemplifies the twenty-five years that hockey has been in South Florida. The patch gives you a bit of a nostalgic feeling with the palm tree and stick logo, while modernizing it with the state flag in the back of the away patch. Overall though, a job well done from the Florida Panthers!
