Florida Panthers: Colby Robak recalled from San Antonio

The Florida Panthers made another move this morning, recalling defenseman Colby Robak from the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.
Robak, 23, has played in 54-games for San Antonio and has recorded 21-points (8 G, 13 A). The former second round pick for the Panthers back in 2008 has played in 266-career AHL games and has registered 107 points in those games (29 G, 78 A). Of those goals, nine have been on the power play.
With Erik Gudbranson out for at least two weeks, the Panthers first turned to Mike Mottau for a game, before sending him down and recalling Alex Petrovic – who played a strong game last night. Now Robak will get his chance to impress his team with the progress he has made in the minors.
In 19-NHL games Robak has yet to score a goal, but does have an assist. The Panthers take on the New Jersey Devils tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET. They will then take on the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday before embarking on a four game Western Conference road trip in which they will play all three California teams and the Phoenix Coyotes.
