NHL Writers Wanted.

facebooktwitterreddit

FanSided NHL is looking to expand and add writers to many of it’s sites including this one right here.  There are a number of writer openings that might be suitable for you.  For example we are in need of Lead Editors for the following team sites:

Anaheim Ducks, Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Vancouver Canucks, Winnipeg Jets, Los Angeles Kings, Phildelphia Flyers and Minnesota Wild.

A lead editor will be responsible for daily content of his or her own by writing either once per day on average or a minimum of 30 times per month, work with staff on their site to produce additional content, be active on social media promoting the site and communicating with fans, and participate in the growth of our network.

It sounds like a lot of work, but once you get your system down, it flows pretty smoothly.  As you know and have seen, I’ve done it here at The Rat Trick.   It’s certainly not for everyone.  However, Editors that are able to put in the time and meet our expectations become eligible for monthly revenue sharing payments (think along the lines of “pizza and beer” money and not “go out and buy a Ferrari” money).  However if you are consistent, and dedicated and build a good staff, just like we ahve done here at The Rat Trick, you can may be able to make a “car payment”.

If you are interested in writing but aren’t looking to take on the daily grind of being an Editor, feel free to apply for a spot as a Staff Writer. The expectation that comes with this role is a minimum of 1 article/week or 4/month with an ideal monthly output of 10+ articles/month.  All of our 32 sites have openings for staff writers, and we welcome your input.

If you are interested in either role or if you’d like to discuss the details more in depth, the first step is to follow this link and fill out our network’s online application. Online writing experience is not required for either position, but obviously applicants should have a strong knowledge base with respect to the team they want to write for.  We want passionate and dedicated fans who have something to say.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you!
