For the second consecutive ranking, the Florida Panthers’ prospects have been ranked No. 1 by Hockey’s Future.  A tremendous accomplishment by the organization, showing the ability of the scouting staff to select such talented, and the depth of talent that these players possess.  It’s important to note as well that the Panthers have been among the Top 4 NHL organizations in the last four bi-annual rankings.

When you take a look at some of the youngsters that will potentially be joining the “big club” in the next couple seasons, you get the feeling that the hockey team is headed for bigger and better things, and a continued improvement on this past season, which was a drought ending playoff birth.  Players like Jonathan Huberdeau, Nick Bjugstad, Quinton Howden as the up and coming forward, and Colby Robak and Alex Petrovic on the blue line.  And of course everyone is anticipating seeing Jacob Markstrom as the number one goaltender at some point in the next season or two.  All in all, this is an outstanding crop of players.
