This has already been an enormously depressing offseason with the deaths of many talented players. While a full list of those on the aircraft has not been released, it has been confirmed that former NHLers Brad McCrimmon (coach), Karel Rachunek, Josef Vasicek, Karlis Skrastins, Alexander Vasyunov, Ruslan Salei, and Pavol Demitra are among the 43 killed.
