Monday Morning Kitty Litter

Welcome to the Monday Morning Kitty Litter here at The Rat Trick.  A collection of links from the past few days of NHL news, and a sprinkle of surprises every so often.

The first surprise is I’ll be posting a music video link each and everyday.  Sometimes it will have meaning, sometimes not.

Today’s music video is Sex Karma from the band Of Montreal. Why?  Been hearing a lot of them, and the Florida Panthers are going to end this upcoming road trip, where else?  Montreal.  Pretty slick eh? Plus it’s a nice and smooth song to start your Monday.

On with the links.

Here’s last weeks TSN Quiz.

View From My Seats has the comings and goings of the 2010 first round draft picks.  Interesting how many guys have started with their NHL club so far.  Don’t get me started on Big G though.

The Edmonton Oilers are going to be the first Canadien team with cheerleaders reports Orland Kurtenblog.

As you know New Jersey Devils coach John Mac Lean sat out Ilya Kovalchuk Satruday night as a healthy scratch.  Is Mac’s head coaching career going to be short lived?  Puck Daddy asks.

After seven games into the season The Active Stick has come to some conclusions about the Montreal Canadiens.

It’s early and after a hot start the Toronto Maple Leafs have cooled off.  Not time to panic yet says Leafs HQ. I’m sure that it’s just around the corner though.

Canucks Hockey Blog comments that there’s really no goalie controversy in Vancouver, even though Bobby Lose hasn’t started two games in a row at home yet.

The New Jersey Devils and Montreal Canadiens met on Friday night and Four Habs Fans gives their pregame remarks in a way that only they can do.

Nice article on Florida Panthers second year defenceman Dmitry Kulikov from The Hockey Writers.

Daniel Alfredsson scored his 1,000 point Friday night.  A great accomplishment for any player.  Especially if you spent a portion of it playing for Jacques Martin. Silver Seven has the praise.

Jeremy Roenick steals the show at the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame inductions.  TSN.
