Horton Breaks Leg. Out 4-6 Weeks
Another bite in the arse as Panther forward Nathan Horton is out 4-6 weeks with a broken tibia (shin bone) after taking a shot by defenceman/teammate Dennis Seidenberg in the game against the Islanders on Thursday night.
UGH! Now What? Victor Oreskovich was sent back to Rochester yesterday due to lack of production?
The only good news is that part of this injury covers some of the Olympic break.
It’s decision time folks and I am going to be very curious as to what happens. I am not confident that any player the Panthers recall from Rochester can fill Nathan’s shoes, even for the short term. Waiting for him to come back isn’t going to do the trick as we have nine games before the Olympics start and that’s 18 potential points that we need as many of as possible
We are going to see what kind of “stones” Panthers management has here. Do they feel forced to make a deal? Do they realize a deal must be made? Or will it be status quo and just do nothing?
I can’t take the excitement!
Thanks for reading.
Cheers
