The Rat Trick Morning Links: Weegar, Rangers Advance, Forsberg

The Florida Panthers signed former seventh round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft, MacKenzie Weegar to an entry level contract. He will be an interesting player to watch this season. Likely destined to the AHL to begin his career, if his offense can translate quickly, he could be of use to the Panthers on the power play as soon as this coming season.

A big congrats to the New York Rangers, and their fan base who after last night will get to watch their team in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in 20-years. After getting pulled the previous game, Henrik Lundqvist bounced back to post a shutout in the decisive game. Dominic Moore scored the lone goal of the game in the victory.

A trio of former Colorado Avalanche from their last Stanley Cup team are eligible to be enshrined into the Hall of Fame. In less than a month we will know if Peter Forsberg, Chris Drury, or Adam Foote will make it into the Hall. Mile High Sticking takes a further look.
