With the regular season over for the Florida Panthers, the team has assigned Vincent Trocheck, Quinton Howden and Drew Shore to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.
With three games left in the Rampage season (including today’s game), the Panthers decided to get the young guns that were available to move down the chance to get the last bit of playing time available this season.
Despite being with the NHL team since March 7, Trocheck is still second on the Rampage in points with 41 (16 G, 25 A). In 20-games at the NHL level, he scored eight points (5 G, 3 A) – including a shorthanded goal in the season finale against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Howden scored 27-points (10 G, 17 A) in his first stint with the Rampage before being called up. He quickly became one of the Panthers most dangerous and effective penalty killers – scoring four goals in 16-games including a shorthanded goal.
Shore scored seven points with the Panthers, including an assist in his most recent three game call up. With the Rampage, Shore is tied for the team lead in assist with 25.
San Antonio is currently sitting in last place of the division, and concludes their season on Friday with a game against the Abbotsford Heat.
