After playing the last two games with the minimum amount of 20-players, the Florida Panthers added some reinforcements from the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.
Joey Crabb, 30, has scored 26-points in 53-games played with the Rampage and in 171-career overall NHL games he has 20-goals and 52-points. For a team that is still 27th in the league in scoring, any kind of scoring depth can help.
Mike Mottau has only played seven games this season for the Panthers before being put through waivers and then sent to the minors. Mottau also spent time on injured reserve this year with a leg injury.
Even when healthy, he was a scratch on most nights and with the Panthers testing out their younger defensemen like Dylan Olsen – he will likely continue to watch from the press box.
The Panthers take on the Phoenix Coyotes tonight before heading to Tampa Bay to play the Lightning on Thursday.
