4) Fast Starts

It is absolutely imperative for the Panthers to get out to a fast start tonight in Colorado. That is easier said than done for a Panthers team that seems to routinely stake their opponents to early two goal leads. Florida has fallen behind 2-0 in four of their last five games. Predictably, their record during that span is 1-4-0. While the Panthers have shown a knack for late game comebacks, the Avalanche are not an opponent the Panthers can afford to fall behind against. Colorado is 12-0-0 this season when scoring first and 10-0-0 when leading after the first period.
