Second Star: Jonathan Huberdeau

Lets just get this out of the way. Jonathan Huberdeau is electrifying. Anybody can be exciting with the puck in front of the oppositions net, few are exciting with the puck in their own defensive corner. Jonathan Huberdeau is one of those players. Whenever he touches the ice, Huberdeau is must-see-TV.

Last week was no exception. On Tuesday, Huberdeau scored one of the prettier goals you will ever see:

He followed that up with this shoot out beauty in the Panthers win over the Wild on Saturday:

When he wasn’t making the highlight reel Huberdeau was being a pest on the ice. His play against the Predators and Bruins particularly stood out as every time he touched the ice in those games he was a threat to score. Against Nashville he even got into a mini-scrap with Shea Weber which kind of made me feel like a nervous parent at my sons first football game but was exciting nonetheless.

All-in-all, excellent week from Huberdeau hence the second star of the week.
