Previewing The Florida Panthers Offense: Part 1

2012-13 Season:

Joey Crabb played in 26 games for the Capitals and scored just two goals and zero assists. After starting the season on a line with Alex Ovechkin, Crabb was eventually demoted to the AHL where he was a point per game player with the Hershey Bears.

2013-14 Projection:

The Panthers signed Crabb to a two-year $1.2 million dollar one-way deal. With the Panthers, Crabb will be expected to play the gritty minutes on the bottom lines and contribute on the penalty kill. He has been a healthy scratch the first two games but he should receive ample playing time throughout the season. In  2011-12 Crabb put up 26 points (11-15-26) in 67 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs. If he can come anywhere close to those numbers this season, the Panthers will be ecstatic.
