Florida Panthers 2013 October Schedule

The Florida Panthers begin their 2013-14 season on Thursday when they travel to Dallas to take on the Stars. Here is a look at the rest of their October schedule:

Oct. 3 Thursday: Panthers at Stars, 8:30 pm ET
Oct. 5 Saturday: Panthers at Blues, 8:00 pm ET
Oct. 8 Tuesday: Panthers at Flyers, 7:00 pm ET
Oct. 10 Thursday: Panthers at Lightning, 7:30 pm ET
Oct. 11 Friday: Panthers vs. Penguins, 7:30 pm ET (Home opener)
Oct. 13 Sunday: Panthers vs. Kings, 3:00 pm ET
Oct. 15 Tuesday: Panthers at Predators, 8:00 pm ET
Oct. 17 Thursday: Panthers vs. Bruins, 7:30 pm ET
Oct. 19 Saturday: Panthers vs. Wild, 7:00 pm ET
Oct. 22 Tuesday: Panthers vs. Blackhawks, 7:30 pm ET
Oct. 25 Friday: Panthers vs. Sabres. 7:30 pm ET
Oct. 27 Sunday: Panthers vs. Lightning, 5:00 pm ET
I think the top game here has to be the Panthers vs the Bruins on Thursday October 17th. Not only is this this first meeting between the two teams as newly minted Atlantic Division rivals but it will be the first time Tim Thomas faces his old team since deciding to retire at the end of the 2011-12 season.
Other key games will be both Panther/Lightning match ups, the season opener against the Stars, the home opener against the Penguins and the Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks coming to town October 22nd.
