NHL Opening Week US TV Schedule

The NHL regular season begins tomorrow…the NHL regular season begins tomorrow…damn that is a nice sentence to write. A little kid on Christmas Eve is too banal an analogy so how about walking up to your first bar on your 21st birthday (assuming you haven’t had a fake ID since you were 18 and have four years of bar attending experience under your belt…but who does that right?) I like the analogy between the start of the regular season and attending your first (legal) bar. In both cases the excitement is unbearable, anything could happen, everything will seem fuzzy in retrospect, and there is a good chance you will be driving to CVS the next morning to purchase some Plan B…okay that last one may not apply to the NHL regular season but you get the point. The NHL season is upon us. Below is the US national TV schedule for opening week:

Tuesday October 1st:

8:00 pm ET: Washington Capitals at Chicago Blackhawks, NBCSN

Wednesday October 2nd:

8:00 pm ET: Buffalo Sabres at Detroit Red Wings, NBCSN

Thursday October 3rd:

8:00 pm ET: Los Angeles Kings at Minnesota Wild, NBCSN

Saturday October 5th:

7:00 pm ET: Detroit Red Wings at Boston Bruins, NHL Network-US
