NHL Draft Lottery Odds: Panthers With Best Chance At Top Pick

While the playoff seeding in the Eastern Conference is still in flux, the non-playoff teams are locked into their spots for the NHL Draft Lottery taking place Monday at 8 p.m. ET. The Florida Panthers, as the NHL’s last place team, has the best chance of winning the lottery at 25%. If the Panthers do not win, they will be bumped down to the second pick in the NHL Entry draft.

The lottery is essentially a drawing for the chance to select Seth Jones with the number one pick. The big defenseman, Jones, is the consensus number one prospect in the draft.


Here are the non-playoff teams’ chances of winning the number one pick:

Colorado Avalanche-18.8

Tampa Bay Lightning-14.2

Nashville Predators-10.7

Carolina Hurricanes-8.1

Calgary Flames-6.2

Edmonton Oilers-4.7

Buffalo Sabres-3.6

New Jersey Devils-2.7

Dallas Stars-2.1

Phoenix Coyotes-1.5

Philadelphia Flyers-1.1

Winnipeg Jets-0.8

Columbus Blue Jackets-0.5
