Jean-Francois Jacques Traded to Lightning

The Florida Panthers announced today that AHL San Antonio Rampage player, Jean-Francois Jacques has been traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning for future considerations.

He is 6’3″, 230 pounds, and a native Montreal, Quebec in Canada.

Signed by the Panthers on 7/5/12 he was assigned to the Rampage, but is a seasoned player who has played 166 games with the Edmonton Oilers.  He played with the Oilers from 2005-2011 before going to the Anaheim Ducks for the 2011-2012 season.

While with the Ducks, he also played 65 games with their former AHL affiliate… the Syracuse Crunch.  How ironic that the Tampa Bay Lightning brought him back to the organization, and promptly assigned him to the Crunch.

The Rat Trick would like to wish Jean-Francois Jacques best wishes for success with his new team, or should we say… “old team”.
