As reported yesterday through all news sources… the National Hockey League has taken the step of eliminating all games through January 14th from the 2012/13 schedule.  Altogether now… 50.8% of the games have been canceled, and will not be played.

So, with the latest move the date of no return is January 15th before the NHL has no other choice but to cancel another season due to problems finalizing a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NHLPA.

If 48 games do get played, the remaining games will need to be re-scheduled so it is Eastern Conference teams playing against each other.  The same for Western Conference teams.

There you have it – another News from the Telephone.
