News From The Telephone - 12/20/12

Two short news posts for News from the Telephone – 12/20/12 Edition…

Before a charity game last night, an executive with the NHLPA was asked why aren’t the two sides speaking to each other?  The NHL owners are in court now…  why talk?  Nothing has worked until now.  The owners have absolutely no desire to speak right now.  The executive said the bolded piece only.

I say… why talk when you are now in court, and what you say can be used against you in a court of law?  NHL would be very stupid, in my opinion to talk now until the legal maneuvering is over.  Hey, the NHLPA needs to take that same advice.

Anders Lindback, formerly of the Nashville Predators and now with the Tampa Bay Lightning, but pictured here after a game against the Florida Panthers, was injured today while playing for Ilves Tampere in the Finnish Elite League.

For you Florida Panther fans out there…   News from the Telephone will be a daily post, and will not be biased against the other 29 other teams.  Eventhough, the Tampa Bay Lightning is an in-state rival in the Southeast Division… there is no discrimination here at The Rat Trick.
