News From The Telephone – 12/19/12

While everyone braces for the long drawn out court battle…  I decided to write a piece called “News from the Telephone”.  The news is from what comes across on my telephone a few times a day.

Here goes:

It is said that a member of the Canada’s Parliament wants minor league teams to play for the Stanley Cup until the National Hockey League can get its’ act together… lol.  I am not sure who the member is, or if he is even known to patron hockey enough to know this little piece of information…

The American Hockey League and East Coast Hockey League already play for cups… the Calder and Kelly Cups respectively.  What are wesupposed to do… throw those two by the waste side.  I don’t think so!

Stanley will have an extended vacation until things are sorted out.  That’s if the problems it faces doesn’t destroy it first.

Second piece of information to come across on the phone today was what we already know…  The NHL has filed suit against the NHLPA.  What wasn’t known is that the judge it has been assigned to is… a die-hard New York Yankees fan. :)

So… there you have it…  the news that came across my telephone today.
