Florida Panthers – Salary Cap

I decided to write a brief post about where the Panthers stand salary wise, and who is set to become an Unrestricted Free Agent or Restricted Free Agent come July 1, 2013.

UFA

Stephen Weiss, Jerred Smithson, and Jose Theodore.

RFA

Keaton Ellerby, Casey Wellman, Jack Skille, Shawn Matthias, Mike Santorelli, and Peter Mueller.

The Panthers have an estimated salary of $51,551,209 for this season, and an estimated salary cap hit of 53,740,333.  The current salary cap for this season is $70,200,000.  The Panthers are well below this, and have proven that you do not need to max out to be a contender to the Stanley Cup.

Just some information I decided to post on tonight.  Until tomorrow, Keep it real!
