The Florida Panthers had an amazing season that demonstrated they are on the right track with the moves Dale Tallon made two off-seasons ago.  It took guts to gut almost an entire roster, and start over, towards becoming a contender to the Division, Conference, and Stanley Cup Championships every year.  I do applaud him for doing it.  He noticed what needed to be done, and did it!

Today, I took over as Editor of The Rat Trick and welcome the challenge to keeping this site the best it can be on the Fansided Sports Network.

I am a hockey nut.  My email address says it all..  NHLDOLCE7@GMAIL.COM.  I witnessed the dynasty years back in the early 80’s when the New York Islanders won 4 Stanley Cup Championships in a row.  That was quite an accomplishment.  I was a young boy who was in middle and high school when this achievement occurred.

In 1989, I moved from Long Island, New York to Los Angeles, California where in 1992, I witnessed the championship run of the 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings.  I also witnessed the birth of two Florida teams…  the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Panthers from 3,000 miles away.

I am a fan of the Lightning, Panthers, and Canucks, but am an overall hockey fanatic.  I can watch the little leagues to the high school and college players… all the way to the AHL, ECHL, and NHL players.  If hockey is around… on television (or in the area) you can guarantee I will be watching or atleast be keeping tabs on it.

I am a Staff Writer on Bolts By The Bay… along with being Editor of this page.  I know you will enjoy my posts as the Lightning and Panthers have a heated rivalry every time they play each other.  Whether it be in Tampa Bay or Sunrise, you can be guaranteed it will be an entertaining 60 minutes of hockey.

My next post will be one I wrote about the Florida Panthers, and their history dating back to 1992.

Until then…  WE SEE RED!!!
