What better way to pass the time with no hockey by having some fun activities to participate in! I asked some Panther fans on Twitter if they had the opportunity to have dinner with 1 Florida Panther player, who would they chose and why. You know you all have thought of it, who would be fun, boring, funny, awkward? Well here are some of the things people had to say.
I’d have dinner with Jacob Markstrom because he is our future. From what I’ve seen of him playing here at the beginning of the 2011-2012 season and the games that I saw when he was playing in Rampage, he has potential to be our starter goalie in the future but also a backup goalie hopefully starting the new season. Also he’s a very outgoing guy. Is a super nice guy on and off the ice. Keaton Ellerby and him have a bromance going which I absolutely adore. I would sincerely love to get to know Jacob. What more can you love from a Swedish man like him.
Versteeg! Because he always seems to be good fun and full of excitement. Would definitely make things memorable
I would have dinner with Jose. Because he’s a veteran in the league and a very down to earth guy. He’s very respectful to his fans and I would love to hear about his long journey of a career. He would just be wonderful to have dinner with
Jovanovski. Would love to hear him recount details of a long career, bridging the gap between the old Cats & the new.
Clemmensen. He is always so willing to chat with everyone, so gracious for everything he has. So appreciative of his career, family, friends also very down to earth. I think he would be such an easy player to just sit and eat with, wouldn’t make you nervous at all.
And of course, you all want to know who I would chose. Well, actually for those of you who do know me, you know who I would chose.
@chrissaay44 (ME!): For those of you who know me, yes I would chose Gudbranson but not for the reasons you think. I really would like to get insight on the huge difference between juniors and the NHL, see how they adapt to the fast pace and excitement, how sitting out some games helps a player. From what I’ve seen, he is always very kind to his fans so I think it would just be a fun, interesting time. I would also like to know how the whole rock paper scissors contest with Garrison got started after winning games to see who goes off the ice last. Side note: I would also love to hear from Jovo about his whole career from his point of view, what he learned and such.
