Jarome Iginla gets # 500! Source: Canadian Press

Today’s musical choice has been specially selected.  Just click here for the live performance.

After a couple days off from games, the Florida Panthers play three very difficult games at home in the next seven days.  The Vancouver Canucks tonight, the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, and the Boston Bruins a week from today.  Three big games and six points on the line.  Getting at least four of those six points should be the goal.  Tonight’s game against Vancouver will have a little more meaning to some Panther players than just another Western Conference matchup.  Kris Versteeg, Tomas Kopecky, Brian Campbell and John Madden all have a bit of history against the Canucks as former Chicago Blackhawks.  While this game won’t have as much pizzaz as the game the Canucks played on Saturday against the Bruins, there will be some hard fought battles, and I’m sure some choice discussions going on.  Also, it will be the first game that Mikael Samuelsson will play against his former teammates.  One more thing, I’d love to hear Chelsea Dagger played during the pregame skate, as well as after any former Blackhawk on the Panthers scores.  Tonight only.

You’re headlines after the jump: * Mikael Samuelsson’s injury last month turns out to have been a concussion.  Harvey Fialkov.

* For a change the Southeast Division is competitive.  Harrison Mooney.

* The Canucks and Bruins played Saturday afternoon in which some called the game of the year, while others called it redemption for Vancouver.  That’s about half right, and you guess which half.  Puck Daddy.
