There’s not much to be said about last night’s abomination. The Florida Panthers lost 6-1 to the New York Rangers, and while Dave tried to give you his version of a recap, I thought that you might like to see how I react after a loss like this. It’s not the end of the world. It’s one game, and no one goes 82-0 for an entire season. There will be games like this every now and then. The idea is to keep things in perspective, and maintain composure.
When there’s games of this nature, I turn my Greek Heritage for solace. Or maybe you’d call it releasing stress. Last year you may have read on Twitter during certain games that I released this stress by performing an old Greed tradition of breaking plates. Last night was one of those games. Take a look. You might want to try it too. I guarantee you’ll feel significantly better.
If you’d like a recap, here’s the TSN Boxscore, and George’s recap in the Herald, and Harvey’s breakdown in the Sun-Sentinel. The one good thing out of last night’s contest was the first NHL goal that was scored by Erik Gudbranson. Good job kid, we hope to see more of that.
Blue Line Station however gives a very respectful description of the game.
Like I said, we can’t win them all. Regroup, forget, and come back strong Tuesday night.
