Saturday Song Of The Week: Red Hot Chili Peppers.


Red Hot Chili Peppers are a rock band with some funk flavor added from Los Angeles, California.  The band formed in 1983 (wow), and is still led by original founders Anthony  Kiedis (lead vocals) and Michael “Flea” Balzary (bass), and longtime drummer Chad Smith.  The band has a long history of success, and has succeeded three plus decades as their music never seems to grow old, and continues to appeal to listeners of all ages.

They’ve produced 10 albums throughout their career and their latest release I’m With You came out earlier this summer.  Their first single off the album The Adventures of Raindance Maggie was their 12th number one single on Billboard’s Alternative Songs Charts, setting a new record which they previously held at 11.  They’ve been nominated for numerous awards and have twice been nominated for selection to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but have yet to make it.
