Recap: New York Rangers 1 Florida Panthers 2

The Florida Panthers have won 3 straight games and continue to lead the Southeast Division. Jason Garrison blasted the puck past Henrik Lunqdvist in the first period, for his 8th of the season; which leads all defensemen in the league. Kris Versteeg picked up his 12th goal of the year, the eventual game winning goal; just over a minute into second period. Shortly afterword, Tomas Fleischmann, who assisted on both of those goals; took an elbow to the head from Rangers center Andre Deveaux.

After a brief moment on the ice, Fleischmann returned to the bench, and then back into the game; after Tim Kennedy picked up a few of his shifts. Deveaux was given a game misconduct and should expect some reaction from the league. Stephen Weiss was 13/19 in the faceoff circle.  The best Rangers player was Henrik Lundqvist, who made 38 saves, 17 of them in the 3rd period. Jose Theodore was strong in net again, including a game saving glove save near the end of the third period. The Panthers killed off all 4 of the Rangers power plays, while scoring on the power play (Garrison).
