For those of you who don’t get NHL Network, or who maybe not have access to Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts, former Florida Panther David Booth appeared on After Hours which is the late night segment that appears following the west coast Canadian game. David talked with Scott Oake and Craig Simpson last night about his trade, the media in Canada and how different it is compared to Florida, his time in juniors with Ryan Kessler, and his hockey career at Michigan State. It’s a pretty good segment for those of you who never knew much about David. This will give you some insight:
Many players have left Florida either by their own choice, or by the choice of management. Some of the moves have worked out for those players, and some have not. Either way, the culture here in South Florida is changing as are the expectations, which you can see by the moves that Dale Tallon is making. He’s here to build a winner, and he’s going to do things his way. I respect him for that and for making the unpopular (with some fans) decision of trading David Booth. I wish David well. He’s a nice guy and seems to be happy where he’s at.
While I feel that we must move on, surely there are some of you who feel otherwise. Let us know in our comment section your thoughts.
