REDlines: The Controversy. October 27th

Who says that hockey in October isn’t as exciting as it is in March or April?  With almost 10 games played for most teams the hot story in many cities revolves around goaltenders. We’re talking some big names here that suddenly are finding themselves in the doghouse or under the microscope of their fan base.  The names in question so far:  Roberto Luongo, Jaroslav Halak, and Ilya Bryzgalov.  The replacements in order:  Cory Schneider, Brian Elliott, and Sergei Boborvsky.  The Loung-hole one isn’t much of a surprise, but the Halak and Elliott one is a curious one, and who knew that it would take this long (sarcasm) for Philly to turn on Bryzgalov.  It will be very interesting to see how these situations progress for the next few weeks.  Thankfully here, we have no controversy.  We’re very happy with our tandem of Jose Theodore and Jacob Markstrom.

Today’s game preview will be posted this afternoon.  For now here’s the TSN Gameday, and your Thursday morning Links:
