The Florida Panthers Week: Games 8,9, and 10

The Florida Panthers open a road trip tonight that encompasses two Canadian cities, and a hop across the border into Buffalo; to take on the Sabres. The first stop is in Montreal, a team that seems fed up of late with Panthers former GM/Coach/Great Deal Maker Jacques Martin. The Panthers and Canadiens have both made recent trades. Both teams will look to hit the ice with energy, at a packed Bell Centre; despite the Canadiens losing their last 5 contests (1-4-2).

For the  second stop this week on Thursday, the Panthers will be in Ottawa. Hockey in the Canadian capital has seen a few tough years since their last trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2007 when they were defeated by the Anaheim Ducks. The Senators late rally last Saturday, was enough to defeat the winless Columbus Blue Jackets (0-7-1). The Senators (3-5-0) are feeling confident, the Panthers will have to earn victory Thursday night.

The third stop, is a chance for the Panthers to shake off a poor performance on home ice last Thursday. Th Buffalo Sabres are 5-2-0 and living up to many expectations. Winning in Buffalo would be a strong morale boost. If the Canadian tour is a success, and a strong effort put together against the Sabres, everything will be moving in the right direction. It is important for the Panthers to win, if they lose though, It should not be because of lack of effort.
