Saturday Song Of The Week: Empty Sky.

With the tragic news of the plane crash of KHL team Locomotiv on Wednesday, precluded by three NHL players losing their lives this summer, and with tomorrow being the 10th anniversary of 9-11, I could not think of a more appropriate song to post today.

Taken from a concert in Barcelona, Spain from 2003, this song (Empty Sky) by Bruce Springsteen tugs at your heart.  There’s a comment in the thread that says “Hauntingly beautiful”.  That’s 100% on the mark.  And let me tell you, it’s even better to see him perform it live.  The combination of Bruce and his wife Patti Scialfa make this a perfect duet.

We will never forget the victims from these tragedies, and as we take a moment to reflect, tell someone today whether it be a friend or family member, or someone special in your life, just how much they mean to you.
