Today’s music video is Skinny Love by Bon Iver. For obvious reasons.
The writers here at the FanSided Sports Network are now on day five of our NHL season preview. I’d like you to skate over to each of our sites daily and see what our talented hockey writers have to say about their teams’ upcoming season. Remember, we’re all fans and we have high expectations for our team, and previews are what they are…..previews. It will be interesting to see what the gang here has to say about their respective clubs. Will the Washington Capitals finally challenge for the Cup, what will happen to the Boston Bruins as they try to defend their championship, and can the Vancouver Canucks survive the “heartbreak” of losing in the Finals without tearing up their city….again.
Today the staff at Cardiac Cane led by the ever entertaining Kristina Kelly, and her crew gives us a preview of a Southeast Division nemesis. Yes, the Cane’s are a pain in my arse for lack of a better term. Always in our way, always preventing the Panthers from having any kind of remote success when good things are happening. It seems that their purpose in the division is to aggravate the snot out of me. And they do a pretty good job of it. Eric Staal, Cam Ward and Tuomo Ruutu are three veteran players for this team that I can’t stand watching six times a year, even though I’d want any one of the three on my team. Plus now we have to see this Skinner kid for the next
100 15 plus years in addition to hearing Ms. Kelly consistently profess her admiration for him. (slaps himself in forehead). Ugh!
Here’s the opening comments for their preview:
Our day has come. Cardiac Cane writers provide their thoughts on the Carolina Hurricanes 2011-12 season. I think we covered it all, from leadership to netminders, to bridesmaids to Scarlet O’Hara. Enjoy!
Enjoy? Enjoy what? The diving? The pestlience? Their existence? Kristina, it’s a long season and you’re lucky we get along so well. I just don’t like your team very much.
Here’s Cardiac Cane’s preview in it’s entirety. A nice job for a trio of Caniacs. And I mean that in the most respectful way.
Tuesday is reserved for the Chicago Blackhawks as Blackhawk Up covers the boys from the Windy City in their quest for another crack at the Cup.
