The Ownership Team: Cliff Viner

Earlier this week I posted part one of this two part series shining some light on the Panthers’ ownership. Part two takes a look at current Chairman and President of the Florida Panthers Foundation, Cliff Viner. Viner holds many titles within the Panthers organization. He is a general partner, chairman, and CEO.

Cliff Viner was born in Brooklyn, New York and (like ownership partner Stu Siegel) attended the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. He earned a B.S. magna cum laude and a M.B.A. while at Penn. Viner became deeply involved in the South Florida community when he arrived here after working for several companies such as William Blair and Company from Chicago and Phoenix Mutal Life insurance. Viner and his wife Jill are active in the B’nai Torah Congregation as well as the Compassionate Care Program at Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service in Palm Beach County.

The Viner family also donates ten academic financial aid scholarships to UPenn and two athletic scholarships to Boston University. Mr. Viner is the recipient of the 2011 Tiffany Biggest Heart Award for  his outstanding altruism and civic leadership.
