REDlines: Emily To Visit South Florida? August 3rd

Today’s music choice is Heaven’s On Fire by The Radio Dept.

So as of yesterday evening the image above was the projected pattern of Tropical Storm Emily.  Not a hurricane at the moment I prepared this (that could have changed), but nonetheless the storm will provide a little more than a sun shower.  It’s that time of year down here in South Florida.  This is the first storm that we’ve really had our eyes on, and as long as it stays a tropical storm things won’t get too ugly.  If the condition gets worse, then it could be time to hit the local grocery stores for water, batteries, lots of potato chips and canned goods.  People will be tackling each other for that last can of spam (ack), and just one more box of donuts.  Don’t forget the long lines at the gas station either.  Now I don’t expect this to get worse, and I’m actually thinking it will hopefully not even get near us…but that’s what I usually think. As you can see it should be in and out just before the weekend is over.  Good.  I need to wash my car, and I normally do that on Sunday’s.
