Saturday Song Of The Week

The Walkmen are an American indie rock band with their members from New York and Philadelphia.  They formed in 2000, and all of them grew up in the Washington D.C. area, and all went to the same high school.  They eventually all  moved to Harlem and formed after two separate bands broke up….The Recoys and Jonathan Fire Eater.  Their debut album Everyone Who Pretended To Like Me Is Gone was released in 2002, brought them some comparisons to U2, The Strokes and The Cure.

Four more albums have been released prior to their latest album Lisbon which hit the stores in September of 2010.

Here they are with a live performance of Juveniles on Late Night With David Letterman.
