Florida Panthers G Marc Cheverie & G Tyler Plante Agree to One-Year Contracts
SUNRSISE, FLA – Florida Panthers Executive Vice President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms with G Marc Cheverie and G Tyler Plante on one-year, two way contracts.
Cheverie, 24, played in 30 games with Cincinnati (ECHL) last season going 13-9-5 with three shutouts. He also played in 15 games with Rochester (AHL) going 2-7-1. The Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native was drafted by Florida in the seventh round (193rd overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Plante, 24, played in 35 games for Rochester (AHL) last season going 13-17-2 with a .909 save percentage. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound netminder was drafted by Florida in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
