The announcement of the Florida Panthers finally signing young defenceman Erik Gudbranson on Friday was a great way to end the week.  Gudbranson’s deal is for three years at $900,000 base (provided he plays 10 games this season), and performance and bonus incentives adding up to $2.3 million per year, totaling $9.6 million of potential earnings.  Certainly enough money to take Little Miss Rat Trick to the senior prom next spring!

Proving that I’m not the only one who has a “man crush” on Erik, I’m starting off the links with just a few 100 stories about his signing.  After the jump.
