Today’s music choice to start your week is St. Walker by Young The Giant.

Today I’m introducing REDLines. Every weekday morning, as I’ve been doing the past few months, I’ll provide links of top stories about the Panthers, the NHL, and on Monday’s I’ll give you five FanSided links from the past week.  Included as well will be some opening comments from me pertaining to our Panthers, or the NHL.  I hope you continue to enjoy the information we give you.  Also, we’re testing out a new comment system, so please feel free to give us your thoughts, ideas and arguments.

As you know the Florida Panthers made three minor trades on Saturday with the most notable name being acquired Angelo Esposito, who comes over from the Winnipeg Jets in the Kenndal McArdle trade.  Esposito was a top draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2007, but has spent most of his career bouncing around the minors.  Hard work is something that’s been lacking in his approach.  Once again a change of scenery might help.  Look for Angelo to spend his time in San Antonio.  Mike Duco was sent to the Vancouver Canucks, continuing the Ex-Panther tradition in BC.  Florida also resigned unrestricted free agent Ryan Carter to a one year, two-way deal.  Carter will have to work his rear end off in camp to make the club as roster spots are at a premium, but nonetheless he can at least push a few other players to do well also.  Training camp will be an extremely competitive one for sure.
