Craig Ramsey Gets To Fix The Power Play. Source:

Today’s music selection on Friday Flashback comes from 1988, New Sensation by INXS.

New name for this link post.  Like it?  Hate it?  Got another suggestion?  Let me know, but I’ve grown a bit tired of Daily Pucking Grind, so since the Florida Panthers are entering a new era, I thought that this should too.  Thanks Josh for helping with some suggestions.  We’ll try this for a bit.

Big day today in Sunrise as the Florida Panthers will be holding a press conference at 11:00 A.M. to introduce the recent free agent signings to the media.  It’s been quite a week here as fans are anticipating the start of the season with a vigor that hasn’t been seen since the team was formed in 1993.  Everyone is looking forward to the turnaround that will take place, and October can’t come soon enough.  The club also made official yesterday the addition of Craig Ramsey as assistant coach to Kevin Dineen’s staff.  Ramsey brings over 40 years of NHL experience as a player, assistant coach and head coach to the Panthers.  This will be his second stint with the club as he served as assistant to Roger Neilson.  One of Ramsey’s duties will be to repair the powerplay that was one of the NHL’s worst in the league last season.  Couple that with all the additional offence that’s been added and  goal scoring should not be an issue.  Giddy up folks, it’s going to be an exciting year.  Links after the jump.
