Saturday Song Of The Week. For Clarence.

Picking today’s song was a no-brainer for me.  In case you haven’t heard, Clarence Clemmons, otherwise known as “The Big Man” suffered a very serious stroke this week and is in critical condition.  Two surgeries on his brain were performed and as I type this, I have no update other than they are keeping a very close eye on the E-Street Band member icon.

Clarence has had some trouble with his health recently, mostly involving his legs, but through it all, he continued to do what he loved.  Perform with Bruce and the band.

The song I have chosen for today is Jungleland.  Not only is this a signature live performance, but the saxophone solo by Clarence is most likely the best you will ever see.  The song itself is a great story as sung by Bruce, however The Big Man makes this tune what it is.  A classic.

Get well soon Clarence so that we can see you on the stage again.

Enjoy this everyone:
