Saturday Videos. Things We Don't See In The U.S.

As you know during the playoffs those of us in the United States get our broadcasts from Versus or NBC and we miss out on the terrific coverage that is on CBC.  Just to give you a taste of what we’re missing, I’ve included a couple video’s from last night’s game 5.

First up is the opening montage that CBC puts together before every game, as they take music and put it to highlights.  Seems like a great job to me.

Couple more after the jump.

Here’s Coach’s Corner with Don Cherry and Ron MacLean.  I love watching these two guys on Saturday nights during the season, and miss them come playoff time.  Thank goodness for You Tube.  In this segment some of the things that Don talks about are, the twins trying to act tough, Shawn Thornton and the right way to enforce, and finally “The Code”

Lastly,  as if we need another reason to dislike the Vancouver Canucks, here’s the CBC broadcast team of Jim Hughson and Craig Simpson describing Maxim Lapierre and the “love tap” that he received from Zdeno Chara last night.  I tell you I am so sick of their antics.  Alain Vigneault must hand out a playbook to every team member titled “How to be a drama queen while playing hockey”.  If the Canadian announcers feel that way, then I can’t be too far off base.

Thanks for watching.   We welcome your comments and opinions.
