The NHL has put the hammer down (sort of) on Vancouver Canucks defenceman Aaron Rome for his hit on Nathan Horton in game three of the Finals. I firmly believe that this is the right call, and have had a ton of discussion amongst a number of people about it. Opinions will vary, and one isn’t more correct than the other. With the exception of it’s the right call. No complaints about a head shot or anything else. Plain and simple the hit was late.
So what happens tonight in game four? How does Boston move forward without Nathan Horton? Will there be any form of payback, or has the decision by the NHL taken away any form of revenge? What happens with Roberto Luongo? Is he shattered a bit from the eight goal performance? Has Alain Vigneault learned anything? What about the sisters? Can they be relevant or have the Bruins found the antidote much like the Hawks and Predators to shut them down? I’m thinking that Boston ties the series up at two tonight. I might even cheer for them! Links after the jump.
